The construction of the basic planar collector includes:

Absorber sheet: This sheet is black or dark in color and made of a material that effectively absorbs the solar energy. The absorber sheet collects the thermal energy radiated by the sun's rays.

Thermal insulation: Flat plate collectors usually have a thermally insulated back panel to minimize heat loss and increase efficiency. Thermal insulation prevents heat from radiating between the back panel and the absorber.

Glass cover: The top of the flat collectors is covered with a layer of glass, which allows solar energy to enter the into the collector, while protecting the absorbers and the entire system from environmental influences.

Reliability, operational safety and longevity are guaranteed by high-quality, corrosion-resistant materials: among others, safety microprism solar glass with a low metal content (it has excellent heat resistance and a high degree of chemical resistance), and copper.
