< span style="color: #000000;">The plate heat exchanger is a form of heat exchanger. The name heat exchanger is actually appropriate because the process is not heat exchange, but heat transfer from one medium to another. The plate heat exchanger, as the name suggests, consists of wave-shaped plates that are assembled in a special way. There are spaces between the plates. The heat-absorbing medium and the heat-emitting medium flow alternately through the gaps. The unit is sealed both outside and under the medium, which can be done in different ways. There are bolted plate heat exchangers, which have many advantages, such as being extendable and directing the flow differently.
There are different plate heat exchangers in the design. The so-called brazed plate heat exchangers, characterized by the fact that the different plates are soldered together, are often preferred. This means that no other connections are necessary. Plate heat exchangers work efficiently because they enable strong heat transfer. This can be further enhanced by creating turbulence in the flow. The wave profile of the plates ensures the turbulent flow. Although plate heat exchangers do not have to be very large, they do go a long way in providing a high heat flux density. Plate heat exchangers are high power density components and provide high efficiency with compact dimensions and light weight.
Brazed stainless steel plate heat exchangers consist of embossed stainless steel plates that are vacuum-formed soldered to copper. When they are joined together, every second plate is rotated by 180 degrees in the plane, thus forming two flow spaces, rotated from each other, in which the media participating in the heat transfer can be guided in countercurrent. The embossing of the plates creates a highly turbulent flow. This enables very efficient heat transfer even at low flow rates.

The B3-12-30 stainless steel plate heat exchanger is great for use. Compact and small structural unit, low weight, high heat transfer performance due to the technically mature plate embossing, high operating temperatures and operating pressures. The stainless steel material provides good corrosion resistance, simple installation, extremely low maintenance, easy servicing, cost-effective large-scale unit.
