Principle of operation:

Bolly® PDC heat exchanger module - Hot water in minutes

The Bolly® PDC heat exchanger module revolutionizes hot water production. The module loads the heat output into the DHW storage tank from above, so it can provide hot water at the right temperature in minutes. The amount of available hot water depends on the operating time, the temperature of the cold water and the heat output of the generator.

The main feature of the Bolly® PDC heat exchanger modules is that they are able to direct the heat output upwards into the DHW storage, thus providing users with hot water at an optimal temperature after a short period of operation. In this way, the amount of available hot water depends on the actual operating time, the initial temperature of the cold sanitary water and the heat output of the generator, thus guaranteeing flexibility and efficiency.

Providing ideal operating conditions for hydraulic heat pump generators, Bolly® PDC modules ensure the optimal temperature on the primary inlet (55 °C) and on the return side (5 ° C deltaT). The presence of a thermostatic mixer allows users to fine-tune the performance and efficiency during the heating phase.

The operation with the mixer in position "2" is particularly interesting, where the primary temperature is 55 °C, while the DHW production is 50 °C, regardless of the cold water temperature. This means that the power exchanged remains constant until the storage volume is heated, regardless of the initial storage temperature.
