The plate heat exchanger optimizes the temperature transfer between 2 liquids. The steel plates are only 0.3 mm thick to facilitate this process. In addition, the plates of the heat exchangers have a corrugated design. In the Ba-12 series, the heat exchange surface per plate is 0.012 m². The Ba-12-20 unit consists of 20 plates, which together make up a surface of 0.24 m². The heat exchange surface is the key to the correct sizing of the device.

In most cases, due to its rather small dimensions, this heat exchanger is not used for heating the houses as a whole, but it is a good choice for connecting additional circuits to existing central heating systems.
