Gravikol™

With our solar collector package, the domestic hot water needs of 2-3 people can be met.
This is our package It is supplied with 1 flat collector of 2 m2, a support frame with a sloping roof, and a 100 liter hot water tank with 1 heat exchanger and electric heating.
This system does not require a pump, expansion tank, control, BUT!
The tank has inside the roof, it must be located above the height of the collector,so that the hot water can go from the solar collector to the boiler by gravity
Hot water is lighter than cold, so the heat will automatically flow from the upper part of the collector to the boiler, the colder , and heavier water will automatically flow back from the boiler to the bottom of the collector. There is no need to worry about overheating of the water in the boiler, the liquid in the collector will turn into steam sooner and thus the gravity flow will cease.

If the vertical boiler does not fit, look for horizontal heat exchanger tanks among our products!

Orientation of the solar collectors:
The ideal orientation: south 40-45° - so you can use your solar collector system evenly throughout the year.
In summer, the sun is higher, in case of intensive summer use, the solar collector is flatter, It is recommended to place it at an angle of 25-30°, e.g. at holiday homes.
In winter, the sun is lower, so most of the sun hits the solar collectors at the steeper, 55-60° angle of inclination, then in winter heating is optimal.
In other words, if you want to use the system effectively even in winter, it is better to use it at a steep angle install, you will still have hot water in the summer.
